trying out the steps from: (on 19c, i think to set up a physical standby db is roughly still the same from the below articles for non-cdb.
ORACLE-BASE - Data Guard Physical Standby Setup in Oracle Database 11g Release 2
I am stuck on the restore database (rman) on the standby database where after
restore database
ALTER DATABASE ADD LOGFILE ('/u01/app/oracle/oradata/DB11G/online_redo01.log') SIZE 50M;
when i tried to add the logfiles, I encounter error like, ORA-01184 logfile group 1 already exists.
there is no physical file seated at the filesystem. and i understand that it might be already register in the control file (seen from v$log)
Both pri and standby filesystem structure are the same.
how should one overcome this problem? even if i change the directories, the current redo log will be still reflecting like say log file group 2. so no matter how i create the anu additional logfiles it is still not correct. i have tried REUSE for not helping much.
