Oracle Database Discussions

Hi Guys
Firstly i m not a DBA, i just intsalled the Oracle Application 11.5.8, Initially everything was fine. But few days before i hibernate the system nd when i resumed my windows XP and tried to connect to SQLPlus, i m getting the error ora-01092. I haven't made any changes anywhere. Also i connected with SQLPlus with /nolog and when i tried to shutdown the Database i got the msessge ora-12560: TNS:Protocol Adapter error and i get the same messege if i use anyother command like "CONNECT apps/apps@prod
Moreover i writing the most recent entries of my <sid>alrt.log file
