ORA-01033 ERROR

Hello, most certainly it's been asked a million times... Apologize for that. Need help!

trying to log in as usual to SSQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.1.0 as demo/demo, getting this:

ERROR:

ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress

Process ID: 0

Session ID: 0 Serial number: 0

What should I do?..
