ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Hi,

I have an issue with a database from time to time i get ORA-01017 error. Sometimes I can reproduce this error. I am using the correct username/password, no doubt about that. I am wondering if this is a bug (not a conclusion), if anyone could give me ideas where/what to check?

Like i said it happens only sometimes, that means the user/pass is correct, correct tnsnames.ora is set. just using sqlplus client to connect to the database.No database link used.

Oracle database: 10.2.0.4 (standard edition)
OS: Linux 32Bit
