ORA-00904, Invalid Identifier

abladbSep 30 2009 — edited Sep 30 2009
Hi there,

What is happening if the following error message is comming up to the running time: ORA-00904 - Invalid Identifier ?

Ok, the point is that I have two relationated blocks, and from the father's block (= Folders) i need to modify its data from just one item (= Order_of_Folder, a number datatype). When the user modifies it (to change the data from '3' to '5' for example) without needing to change the focus, the application launches the ORA-00904 but not from the Order_of_Folder item, but from another's item.

Actually, there should not be any problem with the others block items', since the application works correctly, and relationates the blocks fine.

So, what can be the problem? The name of the item in which the error message comes up is correct, and so with the other items.

I have tried to change the block's property key-mode (from Automatic to Non-Updateable) and another things with no results. Also to change the items' name (from FOLDER.ITEM to ITEM), and when I try it, the error message stil comes out from changing the Order_of_Folder data, but from another item in the block.

I just don't get it.
