Oracle Database Discussions

from about 2 months ,

I was working on oracle 11g release 2 , while the database was working fine , all users got the following error

ora 00257: archiver error, connect internal only, until freed.
after restarting the server, I couldn't connect to the db, the db doesn't started.
then I could Difficulty solve this problem by changing the size of the parameter db_recovery_file_dest_size to 40 G in the nomount mode

a lot of users running applications on this database

next month I'll travel abroad, and leave the database without administration through this period,

how can I avoid the occurrence of this error again.


which parameters should I make check, which parameters should I update,...........
