Filters are always AND-ed together. I'm always asked by users why is there no OR capability. It would be neat. Is it for performance reasons?
I know there's an IN operator but it can't be used if you want to search on, say, "last_name='Smith' OR first_name='Julia'
Maybe the requirement is less common than I imagine.
