Optimizing MTUs for RAC

Hello,

I think many of you have indicated here the advantages of using large frames when possible for RAC.  Though I have used Google I was hoping you could share how you measure the effectiveness of changing MTUs.

What are some ways I can measure how effective changing the MTUs are in our RAC systems?  We want to gather info before and after making the changes.
