Optimizer/ Schema Sta - Stats are not collected on some tables in a schema

Hi,

I have a unique situation. Every weekend we collected stats on SCHEMA AR.

execute fnd_stats.gather_schema_statistics('AR', 10, 4)

Recently I noticed that for some of the tables in the schema, the last_analyzed is showing very old. Could anyone explain me the possible reasons why stats are not collected for the table?

DB- 10g
OS -HP UX

I have checked whether the table is marked for locked statistics - STATTYPE_LOCKED in DBA_TAB_STATISTICS. The column returns null.
