openflags= on Windows

3378788Jan 11 2017 — edited Jan 12 2017

The openflags= switch on Windows is expalined in Vdbench guide as I pasted below. I guess this can be used for filesystem to avoid the FS buffer. For raw devices, there is no need to use this flag, am I correct? Or there is a use of this flag on Windows raw devices as well? Thanks in advance.

Windows: directio Opens a file using the ' FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING' flag
