Open Source Technologies for JCE - Cryptix ?

Hi,

Is Cryptix ( http://www.cryptix.org/ ) a widely used and reliable Open Source Technology for JCE?
I require 3DES Encryption/Decryption with Open PGP and that's available in Cryptix.

Kindly suggest.
