SQL Developer Open/Save Files Issue (Version 24.3)

SGBUS16 days ago — edited 5 days ago

Have just downloaded the latest version of sqldeveloper (24.3) and immediately found a problem opening and saving file names that contain the hash (#) character from the Worksheet. I'm using Windows 11.

Have a large amount of files that contain the hash (#) character but the ‘open file’ dialog strips off any part of the filename after a (#) character and when select the file get a “file not exist” message (my files actually start with a hash charater and are therefore ignored completely by the ‘open file’ dialog).

Similarly unable to save a file with a hash (#) charater in the name - file name just disappears from the dialog when hit the ‘save’ button.

The product ships with JDK 17 - have tried using the later JDK 21 but doesn't solve the problem.
Other symbol characters (eg $, ~), are fine - problem only seems to be hash (#) that I've seen so far.

Can anyone shed any light on how to resolve this ?
Thank you
