OPEN DATA CONTROLS CRASHES, HOW WORKAROUND?

Trying to open data controls when in financialsEss application, errors with:
# An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment:
#
# java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: requested 38864 bytes for Chunk::new. Out of swap space?
.
I'm working from session servers and have tried to login to different servers but same problem everytime data controls opens.
Please share any workaround for how to solve this. /thanks, Dan
