OPatch gives bad interpreter permission denied error

Hi,
i am trying to run opatch utility on sun solaris 5.9,
but it gives error:
bash: ./opatch: bad interpreter: Permission denied
anyone has an idea? the opatch under the midtier home has all access rights to oracle user, i couldnt understand why this is happening.
