Opatch fails - Missing $ORACLE_HOME/oui

Hello all,

I tried to apply security patch #3811887 on 9iR2 on a RH 7.1 machine but failed with the following error message..

Cannot find Oracle Universal Installer shared library
ERROR: OPatch failed because of Inventory problem.

I reinstalled OUI 2.2 and changed /etc/oraInst.loc to point to the new inventory but got the same error.
Has anyone had the same problem ?
