one click line select in jtextarea

hi folks!
all i want is to get a wholeword of text or the whole line selected on one mouse click into a jtextarea, but it seems to be a problem since j textarea selects automatically the whole word on doubleclick.. how can i change that to one-click? what do i have to override ;-) i cant find.. please help!
