Onclick of a link in First facet need to display a screen in second facet

hi all,

I need some assistance regarding desiging of the screen where the screen is split into 3 facets Header, sidebar and master...
i have a link in sidebar and on click of the link it should invoke the corresponding screen in the master facet of same page...

Any suggestions as to how this can be implemented.
