onclick event on template based button..

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to use ONCLICK event on a template based button (CREATE button on form).I dont want to use the HTML button because it looks so ugly (all other buttons on my page are Template based button).

other option
If i use the HTML button how i can change it to look exactly other buttons on the page.
