On MacOS El Capitan 10.11.6, after installations, I found old versions of both the Java RTE & JDK pr

After the Java install process completed for the newest JRE (Java 8 Update 101), in MacOS El Capitan 10.11.6, I found old versions of Java installed in

~/Library/Application\ Support/Java/

, and also, for the newest JDK (Java 8 Update 101), after installation, I found old versions present in

/Macintosh\ HD/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/

At least the first of these directories is not mentioned in the installation articles on Oracle's website, regarding un-installation procedures for the Mac .

If the old versions aren't removed automatically, isn't this, a possible security problem ?
