OMB Deploy Process Flow in XPDL

I am trying to deploy Process Flows as defined in OWB, to our scheduler, using XPDL.
How can I use OMB (OWB-Tcl) for generating the XPDL for the desired flow?
I am under the impression that the only way to get the XPDL is by the interactive GUI - but I want to process this in batch.
