As a User, I should have the option to select a view mode for OMA. Today, the user has access to both tabular and viewer in different areas of the client. The user would like to have an option to still have all access to data in OMA available thru APIs but be a Map Focus Mode (label could be different). With a Map focused mode, all interactions are done from within the OMA viewer. The OMA viewer would be completely redesigned to incorporate platform functionality and intuitive UI adjustments.
The purpose of the ask is for users who in the field are map focused users. The references and contextual of the viewer are quickly lost when a users needs to change their focus away from a map and read data on a tabular page.
ALSO, this helps users when creating a damage report. Out of the box functionality today lets users either select assets or lasso in assets to a damage report but upon doing so, the user is taken away from the map which hurts the user experience where field users NEED the map for reference.
The proposed solution is a complete change in design. Considering this has an impact to other customers makes it seem like it should be a feature mode so that customers can decide.
Attached are screenshots of what this "could" look like but am open to exploring ideas.
