OL 7.5 kernel panic

After we updated to Oracle Linux 7.5, the latest kernel would not boot. It panics with this:

kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown block(0,0)

I had to rebuild the initramfs and grub2 config in order to get it to boot properly. Anyone else notice this today?
