OIPA Error: “Plan Allocation has not been defined on the Plan for the Group Customer” – How to resolve in OIRP 11.3.1.30?

Marcelo AustriaAug 8 2025 — edited Aug 8 2025

We are currently working on configuring a Group Plan setup in Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA), using Oracle Insurance Rules Palette (OIRP) version 11.3.1.30.

During testing, we encountered the following confirmation message when submitting a Plan to a Group Customer:

"Please note Plan Allocation has not been defined on the Plan for the Group Customer."

This error pops up upon submitting the Plan of Group Customer, and it blocks further processing. It seems to indicate that no Plan Allocation has been configured, but the documentation is unclear on what’s exactly required for Group Plans in this context.

Environment Details:

  • OIPA version: 11.3.1.30

  • Rules Palette: Oracle Insurance Rules Palette

  • Use case: Group Customer Plan setup
