OIM R2 - Child Data getting removed while revoking an account

We are facing a strange issue in OIM 11g R2.We have provisioned an AD Account to an user and added some groups as well. (Groups are present in AD Child form).Now when we tried to revoke the account,noticed that the account is gettng revoked but also the groups are getting removed from the child process form and also from child table.Is this a bug or expected behaviour?.
In 11g,we had an adapter to remove the group but this adapter is failing in R2,as the group is getting removed from table/child process form.
