OIM migration from one env to another

We have OIM 11gR2 PS2 running in production env and we need to build new environment which should be similar to production. Our DBA has cloned DB in new env from production DB.

I am going to migrate(tar and untar) OIM middleware home including weblogic domain and change the host names of DB and OIM machines in all corresponding files. I am trying to avoid running RCU utility and create binaries on OIM.

Does anyone tried this approach earlier? Let me know if there are any issues with this.
