OIM 11g logger

Hi,
I am looking for a custom logger in OIM. If I use "ODLLogger" and update logging.xml file with the handler and logger, its working fine. However, when I use "com.thortech.util.logging.Logger" class, the log file does not get updated. Any idea how to make "util.logging.Logger" class work in OIM 11g ?
