OID - UPN and samaccountname

It is my understanding that in Microsoft Active Directory a user entry has a samaccountname value and can have a user principal name value. And that both of these values can be used to authenticate against an Active Directory domain.

Does OID 10g or 11g (or both) have a similar concept for a user entry?
