OIC database adapter re-invokes the stored procedure twice when it gives timeout

I have an OIC integration where I call a stored procedure. Sometimes the proc does not finish within 4 minutes so it gives timeout. But in that case I can see that procedure is being executed two times after that timeout error. Any help for such issue?
