OERR: ORA 221 error on write to control file

Hello friends,

I got this error catalog server ,could you help me why i got this error.

Sat Jul 31 04:44:00 2010
Errors in file d:\oracle\rcat\bdump\rcat_lgwr_2692.trc:
ORA-00340: IO error processing online log 3 of thread 1
ORA-00345: redo log write error block 39595 count 1
ORA-00312: online log 3 thread 1: 'D:\ORACLE\RCAT\REDO\RCAT03A.LOG'
ORA-27070: async read/write failed
OSD-04016: Error queuing an asynchronous I/O request.
O/S-Error: (OS 1167) The device is not connected.

Please help me.
