OEM's agent is unavailable

The OEM's (home page) AGENT status shows "unavailable". Everything else seems to be running fine. If I go to the host and do a emctl stop dbconsole and then a start dbconsole everything is ok for about 3 or 4 minutes before switching to "unavailable".
Alert log shows nothing.
OEM trace and log files on the host show nothing.
This problem occured after I booted the host database server. I don't know if this will help but we run the oem client on a separate box from the database server. Also, we are 10.2.3.
Any ideas?
