My colleague and I routinely get alerts for down agents. The thing is, the agents aren't down. Our networking situation is a bit less than ideal. Our OEM server and database servers are separated by a firewall. This firewall doesn't always pass packets reliably. We think this is the source of the false alerts. Is there any way we can setup OEM Monitoring/alerting to check the agent twice before sending out an alert?
In our present setup we have any critical alerts create an incident in OEM and DBAs are notified of new incidents in OEM.
