OEL7.1 iSCSI Disk Errors when Installing GI 12c

user1728822Dec 4 2015 — edited Dec 8 2015

Hi,

I have two ESXi virtual servers running Oracle Linux 7.1 and performing a fresh install of Grid Infrastructure.

I have a QNAP NAS TS-459 PRO+ to provision ISCSI devices for my ASM disks.

I am intermittently getting disk I/O/write errors when running the root scripts which creates the VOTING/OCR and GIMR repository database

Initially I thought it may be a hardware/disk error, however I have checked my NAS, ran a long TEST on each disk as well as bad block check and can see no errors.

Have checked switch logs and again can see no errors.

I'm kind of lost as to what the issue may be or why I'm getting write errors.

Any help would be appreciated, im an oracle DBA rather than UNIX admin

Thanks

Paul
