OEL5.4 Install on Windows 7 Virtual PC?

Environment: Windows 7 x64, OEL5.4 x86, Windows Virtual PC, Lenovo laptop W500

I installed from OEL5.4 DVD iso image and immediately had trouble w/ the graphical mode. I tried 'resolution=1024x768' option but it didn't help. So I installed w/ the 'text' option instead. The VM response to keyboard input is very sluggish. I also observed this w/ Windows XP VM install.

I set up the network for DHCP and it appears to obtain IP in a MS networks.

I would like to know how to set up graphical desktop, install Oracle 11gR2 database.
