I have what in my experience is a pretty typical setup. The DBAs require access to the database through personal accounts that proxy as the schema owner. We do not have the schema owner's password, only our own personal passwords. Despite fiddling with every setting, I can't seem to create a connection with ODT.
In SQL developer I use <login> [<proxy login>] this results in an LDAP error in ODT
I've tried various combinations of user id and proxy user id just in case I don't understand the nomenclature - I get alternatively no ability to save the connection (OK button is disabled) or an error due to a null password.
Others have had this problem, but I can't find a solution.
