ODP.NET not working in IIS on Windows Server 2008
757480Mar 3 2010 — edited Mar 15 2010I installed the 64-Bit version of ODP.NET for 11g and have verified that it works by creating a simple Windows Forms App that runs a query. When I run processmon I can see the oracle dlls being loaded when I run the app for the first time.
My web application running IIS can't access Oracle for some reason. When I run processmon and watch for the DLLs to be loaded after I restart IIS and try to load the web page, there is nothing read from the Oracle files location. My application runs at the NETWORK SERVICE account which I gave admin rights just in case it was a permissions issue. It still doesn't work. I also tried running the app with my account as the identity. There was no success there, either.
Has anyone else experienced this and figured out what the solution is? I'm new to Windows Server 2008. Is there something new that I need to configure for it to work that wasn't there in Windows 2003 server?
Thanks.
