ODP.NET Driver REALLY Slow

I have a .Net 4 app running the ODP.NET 4.112.3.0 Library

I'm doing data generation for database testing so I will be doing hundreds of thousands of inserts.
I originally wrote this using MSFTs ODBCConnection class and used a DSN to connect. This app was fairly quick allowing me to generate about 2million records in a 12 hour period.

I just re-wrote it using ODP.NET this time and I'm lucky if I can 1/3 of that. I've had inserts take anywhere from 15 seconds to over 1000 seconds. About every 20 inserts will take forever to complete.
It just isnt making sense to me. Any help is really appreciated I do not want to go back to using a DSN.
