ODM 4 and Synchronization with data dictionnary

FabriceCMar 27 2014 — edited Mar 28 2014

Hi !

until odm 3.3, to generate "alter scripts", I had to use "import data dictionnary" feature, with "swap target"...

after upgrading ODM to 4.0.1 version, I was surprised to discover a new feature : synchronization with data dictionnary directly by "blue arrows" buttons in relational model command bar". So I don't need anymore to import data dictionnary and swap target ?!

I didn't see this new feature in "odm 4 new features" web page.

This is a great new feature, faster and easier !

In Tools/Preferences / DataModeler/Model/Relationnal Model, there are 3 new checkboxes in "Database synchronization" (Use source connection, ....) . What are these three options ? is there a link with new sync feature ?

Thanks !

Fabrice
