I am trying to understand the ODI licensing requirements and have found the documentation seriously lacking.
My understanding is ODI is licensed according to PVU count of host on which target databases resides. And not the host where the ODI agent is running (unless of course they are the same host). Is this correct?
Also the Oracle online store lists named user plus (NUP) licenses for ODI. Has anyone gone down this route. I understand the complexities and minimums of NUP licensing with regard to oracle database, but there is no information on how NUP applies to ODI.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
PS I know we can ask our Oracle rep, but I'm reluctant to do this because of ongoing billing disputes over other oracle products.
