ODI Execution strategy

Hi Guys,

I am new to ODI and need some help. We are developing no of scenarios. Each scenario will accept parameters and will execute the package. Each package will have at least 3 interfaces and 2 procedures. Currently we have 1 master and 1 work repository on the development box.

We are on ODI 11g.

My questions are :-

1) going forward to test and production, show we have seperate master and work repositories for test and production.
2) Currently we are using ODI studio to develop the components. for execution do I have any light weight clients where we just connect and execute/schedule the scenarios?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
