ODI 11g Studio Extremely Slow while accessing repositories remotely

Hello,

We are setting up a fresh ODI environment at our client location.

We have installed ODI and repositories on a NAM server - in Developer mode ( No Agent) and trying to access the same from an APAC machine where Studio is installed.

This kind of development environment setup is very slow and we are not able to work even using SUPERVISOR login. All the 4 navigator windows show extreme slowness in various operations.

Is this due to network delays ?

If we install StandAlone agent on the APAC machine or NAM machine would it help.
