ODBC x64 bit - Oracle 9.2.x

Hi, I have a customer that is running Windows 2008 R2, and they want to extract data from their Oracle database (that is placed on a unix machine).

I am using Microsoft SQL Server integration services to transfer data to a Microsoft SQL -server

I have installed the ODBC-driver, setup the listener and in Microsoft Visual Studio I can see the Oracle and see the tables and columns. BUT i can't run the packages because it says "Tns: SErvice name cant be found" (or something like that).

I have found out that there might be problems with long filenames (e.g. Program Files (86)), but now I have three questions:

1) Does someone has a bulletproof solution?
2) Can someone send a link to the newest ODBC-driver to download, so that I am sure that I don't have issues with hotfixes e.g.
3) Are ODBC-drivers backward compatible, so that I can use one for 11g (or what the name is).

Thank you very much from an Oracle Newbie.

Søren
