OCSP support in Java

Hi,
I need to send a request to an OCSP enabled server to check the status of a certificate.

Is it possible by using Java 1.4 or 1.5 ?
If it is possible by Java, please suggest the exact way of Doing it.

If it is not possible by pure Java, Please suggest a library for this purpose.
