Hi all,

I am having trouble recreating CSS service on my non RAC but with ASM machine. Everything was working fine but we had to change the hostname of the box and after that when I tried to recreate css using localconfig reset or localconfig delete & localconfig add, its failing with local.ocr invalid format error. In RAC env this means we don't have first MB free in the voting disk (raw partition) but this is not RAC and when I run localconfig add it creates $ORACLE_HOME/cdata/localhost/local.ocr file from scratch and it's complaining about the same file. All the metalink notes and google search talk about fixing voting disk but I dont have one in non RAC env and dont know what to do. Here are some of the logs:

I do have an entry of new hostname in /etc/hosts file and I also cleared all the socket info of prev CRS by deleting /tmp/.oracle and /var/tmp/.oracle

Don't know where else to look. All the online material suggests to keep around 1MB free space in header of voting disk but it's not RAC but the error is same and dont know how to fix.
