OCI connection string for ASM

Could you please let me know the OCI connection string for connecting to ASM instance ?

I tried the below string '(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp) (HOST=10.71.113.101) (PORT=1521)) (CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=+ASM1)(INSTANCE_NAME=+ASM1)(UR=A)))' it says "ORA-15000: command disallowed by current instance type"

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
