Hi ALL,

Which has better in I/O performance, when file system is shared between different servers?  OCFS or NFS?

We have database with utl_file dir which is in OCFS(Oracle cluster file system)  mounted as /shared_fs.

This OCFS /shared_fs came from our SAN storage.

This /shared_fs is being mount to other three  apps nodes, such  that they are reading and writing on it.

Now this /shared_fs is full and we want to add it, but our SAN storage has only 100G free space but of ext3 file.

How can we add this free space ext3 file as OCFS?

Please help...

Kind regards,
