OC4J Configuration issue

Hi everybody, I keep getting this error message
OC4J Configuration issue. $ORACLE_HOME/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_<hostname>_<databaseName> not found. everytime I try to start up the Oracle 10g console manager with the emctl status dbconsole tool. I've been getting this error ever since I got Oracle installed and rebooted the system. I've already checked the /etc/hosts file and it has the hostname w/ the IP set. I've about run out of options, so if anybody can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
