Object Persistence in RMI Registry?

I am trying to get rid of using Orbix and rely on Java solely, but I have one problem. If for some reason my server gets shutdown (killed), and my client makes a call to that server, I need for the registry to be able to start that server again. Does anyone know of any way that this can be done?
