OBIEE Installation hangs on Windows XP

Hi,
I had an earlier version installed, but I am not trying to install 10.1.3.3.3. The first attempt failed as it didn't like my .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1. I uninstalled this and re-ran the installation and it got a bit further but it now hangs at 65% and the CPU goes up to 99%. I've tried letting it run for nearly an hour but it doesn't complete. I appear to have the Administration tool installed, along with the services. The BI Server starts successfully but the Java Host and Presentation Server won't.

Can anyone give me a clue as to how I might fix this. I think I've done so many failed installs that my OBIEE install may be totally messed up now.
