OBIEE 12c server service won't start after upgrade

hendrtiApr 17 2020 — edited Apr 17 2020

Hello Experts,

I'm currently performing an upgrade from version from Release 12.2.1.2 to Release 12.2.1.4.0 by using this document:

https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/bi12214/lcm/OBIUP/GUID-93B3A0DC-7546-4ABB-946E-593B3AAE444D.htm#OBIUP-GUID-93B3A0DC-7…

As far as I can see, all steps were completed successfully. However, after the upgrade, it seems the BI server service won't start anymore. The log files of this component don't give a clue as to why.

The only entry I can find is in the admin server log files and states the following:

[2020-04-16T15:51:39.007+02:00] [bi_server1] [ERROR] [] [oracle.bi.servicelcm_v2.persistence.PodPersistenceManager] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '13' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: d03c11c4-8ffc-470f-9812-aac885a364c8-00000541,0] [APP: bi-servicelcm-rest] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL]  [PROBLEM_RETRIEVING_POD_RECORD] Problem retrieving Pod record: Backend = Database[[oracle.bi.servicelcm_v2.exceptions.PersistenceBackendException: Unable to create Pod record

Has any of you ever came across this problem? Is there some way to fix this?

Thank you!
