OAM - WebGate and WebLogic Proxy Plug-in

896779Mar 5 2012 — edited Mar 5 2012
Hi Folks,

I got into a new Architecture for OAM with a customer. They use WebLogic Portal 11g (Clustered) and the Cluster is served by Oracle HTTP Server with Proxy Plug-in as a front end.

Since they want to use OAM for SSO, I think of installing the WebGate in the same Oracle HTTP Server Instance. Meaning, Oracle Web Gate and WebLogic Proxy Plug-in will be going to sit on the same Oracle HTTP Server with the same Apache Port.

Is it a good idea to keep WebGate and WebLogic Proxy Plug-in at the same Oracle HTTP Server Instance?

What if I separate WebGate and WebLogic Proxy Plug-in with two different Oracle HTTP Server Instances?

If decides to keep at the same instance, is it advisable to put both on one port number OR create individual virtual hosts for each?

Kindly advice

Regards,

Rob
